Anthony E. Procaccini, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The Association will award four scholarships of $1,000 each this july!
This scholarship is only avaliable to OHIO students

Official rules and regulations:

  1. Any Ohio member in good standing with the association may submit the name of his or her child or dependent, provided he or she begins classes within twelve months of award date. The scholarship is not limited to those enrolled in traditional 2-or-4 year college courses of study, but is available to students attending vocational, trade, or business schools.
  2. To be eligible, the member must submit to the Association office a completed Scholarship Application form by June 30 each year. The registration form must be hand-delivered or sent via certified mail. No phone calls or faxes.
  3. The winners will be determined by a lottery drawing from Ohio Pick 3 drawing in July. In case of dual awards, the very next Pick 3 drawing in Ohio.
  4. No family can win more than one scholarship each year.
  5. The scholarship maximum will be $1,000, and applies only to the year in which it is awarded.
  6. Upon receipt of scholarship, recipient must notify in a letter to the committee, his or her academic plans for the academic year.

2009 Winners:
The following students in Ohio are each recipients of the $1,000. Anthony E. Procaccini, Jr. Memorial Scholarship. From all the submitted entries, the following were selected to receive a scholarship award.

  1. Islam Dayem from J J’s Food and Deli, Cleveland, Ohio, who will be entering Cuyahoga Community College.
  2. Tamer I. Shtayyeh, son of mad Shtayyeh, of CFX Management, Beavercreek, Ohio, who will be continuing into his third year at Ohio State University.
  3. Leilla Dameh, daughter of Mary Dameh, from North Main BP, Akron, Ohio, who will now be attending the University of Akron.
  4. Rebecca Schmitt, daughter of Robert Schmitt, from Schmitt Family Food Mart, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, who will entering her Junior Year at University of Akron.
